To the editor:

Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry recently signed a bill mandating the Ten Commandments be displayed in all school classrooms. He noted that God was guiding his hand. Unfortunately, God has not been successful guiding the hearts and minds of millions of conservative Christians to comply with His teachings of love, compassion, equality and justice. Here is a more appropriate list of commandments for these individuals, mandates they readily accept and obey:

1. Donald Trump is your supreme leader. Put no other(s) before him.

2. You may own any number and type of firearms. That is your God-given right.

3. Do not fraternize with, hire, or work alongside anyone who is LGBTQ-plus. They are not normal Americans.

4. Support anti-abortion laws and resist all government-supported socialist programs, such as universal health care and free school lunch programs. These are family responsibilities.

5. Endorse and embrace all industrial and economic development and transportation powered by the abundant fossil fuels God has provided.

6. Disavow and resist all anti-MAGA election results. They have been manipulated and are false.

7. Consider Fox News as The Spoken Word.

8. Bar and repel all non-White and non-Christian immigrants seeking to enter this country.

9. God created females to be subordinate to males. Treat women as equal to men only in rare and exceptional cases.

10. Observe and respect the ultimate societal truth that this American Republic was divined to be ruled by White people.

With the Louisiana Ten Commandments law we move a step closer to becoming a Christian theocracy devoid of Christian values.
