To the editor:

Family value MAGA Republicans decry premarital sex, adultery, gay marriage and are stridently anti-LGBTQ. However, not all of these holier than thou conservative Christians practice what they preach.

In Florida, Christian Ziegler and his wife Bridget admitted that they had been involved in a sexual “threesome.” No doubt the Zieglers believe in a MAGA approved “alternative fact” Bible. “The Lord says unto thee: ‘Two in the marital bed is good — but three is better.'”

Christian, chairman of the Republican Party of Florida, has been accused of raping the couple’s sexual partner. Bridget Ziegler, cofounder of the ultra conservative Moms for Liberty (prominent members of Moms for Liberty have close ties to the Proud Boys, Q-Anon and white Christian nationalists) is in her final term on the Sarasota County School Board.

The high profile, family values Zieglers are anything but contrite for their sexual escapades. After the bedroom antics came to light Bridget adamantly refused calls to resign from a tourist board, and less-than-Christian Christian reportedly wants a multi-million dollar buyout to leave his position as chairman of the Florida GOP. “Yea, though they walk through the valley of the shadow of death they fear no evil because they are among its most evil inhabitants.”

While giving lip service to the compassionate and loving Jesus of Nazareth, the Zieglers, like millions of MAGA Republicans, worship the racist, anti-immigrant hate-mongering Orange Jesus of Mar-a-Lago.
