To the editor:

The St. Armand Youth Task Force would like to express our deepest gratitude and thanks to everyone who attended the 2023 Bloomingdale Block Party on Aug. 5. The Block Party was a great success! We have decided that from now on, all of the Bloomingdale Block Parties will occur on the first Saturday in August, so mark your calendars!

A big event like this one takes a lot of time, energy and effort from members of the St. Armand Youth Task Force who are willing to volunteer countless hours to host the Bloomingdale Block Party.

We would like to thank the St. Armand Town Board for sponsoring the Block Party with the aid of ROOST funds and our sponsor JP O’Neil Contracting of Bloomingdale.

A huge shout out to Doug Snickles, the St. Armand Highway Crew and Summer Crew for all of their assistance, we could not do this event without your help!

We would like to thank the organizations and individuals that attended to host a booth: The Bloomingdale Volunteer Fire Department, Bloomingdale Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, the Elks Club of Saranac Lake, St. Bernard’s School, Moon Lake Energy, Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department, Saranac Lake Rescue Squad, Maple Custom Designs, Out in the Woods Crafts, Tina Blinn, Adirondack Therapeutics, Lil’ Tykes Daycare & Enrichment Center, St. Armand Veterans Memorial Park Task Force, Saranac Lake Central School District, Rotary Club of Saranac Lake, the Bloomingdale Boosters and Moose Tracks Station.

For the bounce houses, music, sound and stage we would like to thank Eric Wilson and his team at Good Guy Productions.

Huge thanks for the live music: Tyler Lemieux, Frankie and The Moonlighters and John Geno and the Mustangs.

We also send out thanks to Loonworks for balloon sculpting, Joe Ferris for caricature art, Pete Nelson and the Skeleton Crew for face painting, airbrush tattoo and stilt walking.

And finally, we would like to thank those individuals who showed up and helped out — without all of you, truly, this event could not happen!
