Stefanik’s response to the Trump indictment

To the editor:

Elise Stefanik statement: “The exact same day that the FBI is forced to turn over to Congress absolutely damning and credible allegations regarding Joe Biden’s illegal, egregious, and treasonous corruption, Joe Biden weaponizes his Department of Justice to indict Donald Trump. The American people are smart and understand this is the epitome of the illegal and unprecedented weaponization of the federal government against Joe Biden’s leading opponent, President Donald J. Trump. The radical Far Left will stop at nothing to interfere with the 2024 election in order to prop up the catastrophic presidency and desperate campaign of Joe Biden.”

Her entire statement is false. Here you have an illustration of how disinformation works. Members of the GOP are trying to smear Joe Biden. Investigators have found nothing against President Biden but rumors and innuendo.

What benefit is there to suggest these grotesque lies about our president? Don’t they stem from our former president who is simply a grifter and conman? “I did everything perfectly.” Ha! No, you didn’t. You stole documents and then lied about it. Violation of the Espionage Act. One of the counts.

What do you think Trump was doing with those Top Secret documents? Ask the Saudis. Jen Psaki, on MSNBC Morning Joe this morning made the connection.

Don’t we deserve a representative in Congress who has integrity? Please vote her out.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Zahn
