SLVFD fundraiser was a success

To the editor:

After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department held its 8th annual golf tournament fundraiser on May 14 at the Saranac Inn Golf Club. One hundred and forty golfers from all around the area came out to enjoy a beautiful spring day and to show their support for the fire department. The fundraiser was a great success and it was nice to see everyone who participated. Congratulations to Team Martineau #3, who took first place, shooting -14 and consisting of golfers Noah Martineau, Ryan Thomas, Jon Hickey and Nate Devins. Prizes were given out to the winners, the second and third place teams, along with closest to the pin and long drive contest winners for both men and women. The Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank all the participants, along with the following individuals and businesses that made this a successful fundraiser:

The lead sponsor once again for our event was Burnham Benefit Advisors, who among other things provided new golf balls and cooler bags to all the players.
