To the editor:

The St. Bernard’s Court Catholic Daughters recently held a food sale to raise money for their scholarship funds. Each year we award a scholarship to a graduating Saranac Lake High School senior and also donate funds to St. Bernard’s School. This year our bake sale was a great success. We would like to express our thanks to everyone who made it happen.

Bill Coakley was extremely generous to provide the space, hot dogs, ice cream, grill, continued commitment to the Saranac Lake community, and especially to provide the Catholic Daughters support for the event. He even gave lessons on how to scoop ice cream! Thanks also to Coakley’s store manager Justin and his staff, David T. for being our grill master, Dan B. for donating back his winnings from our 50-50 drawing, and the Adirondack Daily Enterprise.

Once again, we are proud to be in a wonderful and supportive community here in Saranac Lake. Thanks to all who donated and bought our food sale goodies.
