To the editor:

This is to express our heartfelt support for Lindy Ellis, who has successfully represented us in the Franklin County legislature since assuming office in June 2018. Rather than citing Lindy’s extensive accomplishments and qualifications, many of which have been addressed in previous letters of support let us instead share with you a few of our impressions of Lindy as a person and friend since first making her acquaintance some fourteen years ago, when she and her husband Rich moved to Saranac Lake.

First and foremost, Lindy is a person who cares. She cares about others. She cares about her community. And she cares about getting things done. Second, Lindy also is one of the most intelligent and thoughtful persons we know and unfailingly puts these attributes to work in whatever she sets her mind to. Finally, Lindy has an open mind. She genuinely listens to what others have to say. But once her mind is made up, she is full speed ahead.

While Lindy may be hard working, she also takes time to enjoy life. We can attest to this from having skied with her and her husband at the Mount Van Hoevenburg Cross Country Ski Center over many years. Lindy is a balanced person who leads a balanced life.

In short, Lindy Ellis is the kind of hard-working and well-rounded person we want to have at our back. She is connected with her community, involved with her community, and committed to her community. Lindy is the real deal. She has our best interests at heart and is deserving of our support.

Bottom line: Lindy Ellis the right person for the job. Please give her your vote!
