Image of the Week

April is National Occupational Therapy Month! The Workshop at Trudeau Sanatorium pioneered the use of occupational therapy with patients with tuberculosis under the direction of Herbert Scholfield. After Scholfield died in 1921, his work was continued by Celeste Lucas, who had been assistant director. Lucas is pictured at left, with an unidentified man who is learning about the structure of books. We’ll share more information about Occupational Therapy history in Saranac Lake all month!
