Lynn Francis Wilson

Lynn Francis Wilson, age 75, of Saranac Lake, New York, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026.

Born on Nov. 9, 1950, in Lake Placid, New York, Lynn was the son of Calvin C. Wilson and Elizabeth Hennessy Wilson. A lifelong resident of the Adirondack region, he was deeply proud of his hometown and the community he called home.

Lynn dedicated 40 years of service to Craig Wood Golf Course, where he formed countless friendships and found great pride in his work. In his earlier years, he had the unique opportunity to work during the 1980 Winter Olympics — an experience he loved to recount, sharing stories of the excitement and energy of the Games. In retirement, he remained active in the community, working with Can/Am Hockey and at Mount Van Hoevenberg.

Lynn had a deep love for the outdoors, hockey and the Adirondacks. He was an avid supporter of the New York Yankees. Above all else, he cherished his family.

He was predeceased by his parents, Calvin C. Wilson and Elizabeth Hennessy Wilson.

He is survived by his sister, Marilyn (Wilson) Mussari and her husband, Louis Mussari; his daughters, Krista (Wilson) Hennen and Amanda Wilson; his granddaughters, Ava Hennen and Callynn Schleher; his nephew, Matthew Mussari and his son, Declan Mussari; his niece, Samantha (Mussari) Curtis and her husband, Paul Curtis, and their children, Ella and Brennan Curtis; as well as Lorraine VonDell, Larry and Sue Straight, Mark and Patty VonDell, Billy Sheffield, and Min Wilson.

The family would especially like to recognize those dear friends who became family over the years, standing beside Lynn through life’s seasons with friendship, laughter and unwavering support: Cal and Kathy Lewis, David and Karen Bliss, Sandy and Karen Caligorie, Jerrid Gonyea, and Deb Allen.

Lynn will be remembered for his dedication to his work, his love of community, his appreciation for the outdoors and his unwavering devotion to his family. He leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, friendship and hometown pride that will not be forgotten. The family will hold a celebration of life in the spring to honor his memory.
