Edna L. Fletcher
Edna Louise Fletcher, age 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026 at Elderwood Nursing Home in Lake Placid.
Born in Watertown, New York in 1935, Edna was previously married to Michael W. Fletcher. She was a devoted mother to five children: Scott (and his wife Darlene), Andrew (and his wife Tess), Amy, Amber and Paul. She also leaves behind one brother Charlie (and his wife Jeanne) several nieces, nephews and grandchildren whom she cherished deeply.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, J. Kenneth Currier and Mildred P. (Hamm) Currier, as well as her brothers, Jerry and Albert.
Edna graduated from Immaculate Heart Academy in Watertown. Throughout her life, Edna worked at the Watertown Daily Times and the New York Telephone Company as an operator where she met her husband Michael. She was also the proud owner of The Hobby Shop in Saranac Lake where she crafted macrame hangers, ornaments, candles, paintings and other artwork sharing her creative spirit with the community. Edna enjoyed playing cards, dice and other games with her family, bringing joy and warmth with her beautiful smile to every gathering.
Edna will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
