Lynn E. Keough

Born in Saranac Lake on July 28, 1953, she was the daughter of Charles and Doris (Meury) Keough.

Lynn was a lifelong resident of Saranac Lake and had owned and operated the Mountain Mist Ice Cream Stand for many years. Lynn attended and graduated from St. Pius X High School in Saranac Lake in 1971. She continued her education at Syracuse University, where she received her bachelor’s degree. Following her retirement, she worked for the Candy Man in Lake Placid for several years. Lynn loved spending quiet days at home with her cat “Tiki Mon Doo” and reading books.

Lynn was preceded in death by her father, mother and two sisters, Mary Lou Keough and Amy Whisher.

Lynn is survived by several cousins, including Ronald (Margaret) Keough of Saranac Lake and Patricia (Ken) Keough-Wilson of Wahpeton, North Dakota.

On behalf of all of Lynn’s extended family, we would especially like to express our deepest heartfelt gratitude to all of the doctors, nurses and staff at the Adirondack Medical Center. Thank you all for the incredible care, compassion and kindness you gave to Lynn.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. Funeral services will take place at the convenience of the family. Burial will follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Saranac Lake.
