Steven D. Bellew

Steven David Bellew, 82, of Lake Placid, passed away peacefully at Elderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid on Sunday, May 11, 2025. He was born on Nov. 15, 1942 in Chicago, the son of Jack and Mildred (Ribakoff) Bellew.

Steve grew up in Mt. Vernon, New York, graduated from Syracuse University, and earned an MLA from University of California, Berkeley. He was an Eagle Scout and captain in the Army Corps of Engineers. He was the founder and CEO of The Great Frame Up, a custom framing service with 140 stores. A fine art photographer, Steve travelled the country and world taking landscape photos and portraits. He retired to Lake Placid, where he continued to photograph the natural beauty of the Adirondacks. He was a member of the Lake Placid Synagogue.

Steve is survived by his loving wife Susan J. Price of New York City and Lake Placid, son Justin Bellew (Elizabeth Moser) and granddaughter Genevieve of Denver, Colorado.

Steve was predeceased by his parents Jack and Mildred (Ribakoff) Bellew and sister Carole Bellew.
