As Joseph A. Seiss so eloquently wrote and Joyce so eloquently lived: “What shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world, and lose his soul?” (Mark 8:36). “Better fail a thousand times, and fail in everything else, than to attempt to shape yourself a life without God, without hope in Christ, and without interest in Heaven. No one can afford such an experiment. It will unmake you if you try. It will turn your life into nothingness and your being into an ever-greatening curse. You may think it independent, dignified, and noble, but you can no more succeed in it than you can dwell with devouring fire.” Where they that have sown the spirit, shall of the spirit reap everlasting life. Her love of God and family are reflected in her family.
Calling hours will be held Jan. 11 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at M.B. Clark Inc. funeral home in Lake Placid. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. The Rev. Derek Hansen, pastor of the Adirondack Community Church, will officiate.
The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Tri-Lakes Humane Society, 255 George LaPan Memorial Highway, Saranac Lake, NY 12983. Please visit www.mbclarkfuneralhome.com to share a memory or leave condolences.
