Shirley A. Gilpin

She was born in Riverview, New York on May 29, 1940 the daughter of Anthony and Florence (Sochia) Dukette.

She attended the Saranac Lake Central School District and worked as a waitress and then a cashier most of her life.

Shirley was predeceased by her parents and her longtime companion Robert Foley in 2017.

She is survived by her children; Timothy (Lorrie) Donaldson of Vermontville, Laurie Donaldson of Cadyville, Vincent Donaldson of Plattsburgh, James Gilpin, Jr. of Cadyville, Michael (Kristen) Gilpin of Peru, New York and Michelle Gilpin of Peru, her grandchildren; Amie, Travis, Joyce, Alyssa, Erin, Matthew, Nathan, Kayla, Christopher, Katlyn Rose, Chelsea, Kaitlyn and Courtney. Along with her siblings; Gary (Lois) Stearns, of South Carolina, Sandy (Bob) Richardson of Oklahoma and Jo Ellen Callahan of Oklahoma.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be later next year in Church of the Assumption Cemetery in Redford.
