Robert Scott Stearns

Robert was born on June 25, 1962 in Saranac Lake to Esther J. (Curry) and Scott F. Stearns. Robert attended Saranac Lake High School before moving to Rochester for employment.

On March 27, 1982, Robert married Barbara Burritt of Rochester that ended in divorce. Robert found love again and then married Danielle Gonyea from Saranac Lake on March 23, 1996. Robert and Danielle eventually parted ways.

Robert loved to travel and enjoyed fishing, playing darts, tinkering with mechanics and making keepsakes out of horsehair.

Robert is survived by his mother Esther J. (Curry/Callaghan) Trombley and two sisters, Wanda (Justin/Skeeter) Brownell and Michelle (fiance Rick Kentile) Callaghan. He also leaves behind a son, Gordon (Julia) Stearns, and three daughters, Nicole (Shawn) Warr, Kimberly (Jim Bizzallion) O’Connor and Rachelle (Mario) Gonzalez. Robert is additionally survived by 16 grandchildren, two nieces and three nephews.

Robert was predeceased by his father Scott F. Stearns, stepfather Richard (Sonny) Trombley and his newborn baby son Andrew Streans.

Services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the Hawley Funeral Home in Star Lake, New York with a celebration of life reception following the services at the Fine Fire Department in Fine, New York. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
