Candice R. Hamilton

Candice Renee Hamilton, 42, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 of complications from a compromised circulatory system. Candice was an employee of the Utah Transit Authority, who loved her job serving the public as a bus driver and enjoyed her coworkers. Candice was also a passionate and talented artist and leaves behind many beautiful paintings, drawings and photographs that display not only her talent, but her inventiveness and creativity. She also wrote poetr, and had finished two novels and a screenplay. Her family treasures these memorials to her beautiful spirit. She graduated from Saranac Lake High School in 1998, attended SUNY Potsdam, Utah College of Massage Therapy and the University of Utah.

Candice served an 18 month mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Montevideo, Uruguay where she learned and spoke fluent Spanish.

Candice was the daughter of David Bradford Elliott (formerly David Hamilton) who preceded her in death, and the former Evelyn Louise Taylor. In addition to her mother and her stepfather, Kevin Grumbling, she is survived by her step-mother, Leona J (Ludwig-Elliott) Keesling, her siblings, Taylor Hamilton, Broderick Elliott, Kira (Jay) Leavitt, Alexandria Elliott, Paris Elliott, Avi Elliott, Chase Grumbling and Nicole (Nikki) (Mahonri) Smith, as well as 17 nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 6 at 11 a.m. at the Lakeridge 8th Ward building located at 80 W 900 S in Orem, Utah. Interment will be at the Mountain View Cemetery in Gabriels, NY.
