Floyd William Hogan
Floyd William Hogan, age 86, son of William John Hogan and Mae Katherine (Buckley) Hogan, was born in Saranac Lake, New York on Aug. 4, 1935. He passed away on March 28, 2022 at his home in Deland, Florida.
Floyd developed an interest in automobiles at an early age. After graduating from Saranac Lake High in 1953, he went on to work in the autobody business and later co-own the Adirondack Body Shop in Saranac Lake, and in the early 1970s, founded Floyd’s Collision Shop. Floyd developed great friendships and a very loyal customer base. He was well known for his honesty and quality work. He also served for several years in the National Guard.
In the early 2000s Floyd and his beloved wife Arlene retired and moved to Deland Florida. They continued to summer until recent years at the Iroquois Campground in Peru, New York. Floyd treasured every minute of the times he shared with his three grandchildren.
Floyd is survived by his devoted wife Arlene M. (Bombard) Hogan; his brother Francis Hogan; two children: William (Karen) and Thomas (Melanie) Hogan; and three grandchildren: Matthew, Ryan, and Maximilian Hogan. Arlene currently resides at 4179 Woodland Circle, Deland, FL 32724.
