Jonathan Jacob Symonds

Born on April 25, 1990 in Saranac Lake, he was the son of Kevin Symonds, Sr. and Lynne (Giddings) Symonds.

He is survived by his mother Lynne Symonds, of Saranac Lake, two brothers, Kevin Jr. and Travis Symonds, both of Saranac Lake, and one sister, Tonya (Martin) Ward, of Saranac Lake. He is also survived by his best friend, Shanzy. Jonathan was predeceased by his father, Kevin Symonds, Sr.

Jonathan graduated from Saranac Lake High School and BOCES Culinary program in 2008. He worked for the ARC, St. Joseph’s and Citizens Advocate before settling in at North Country Community College. He traveled across America and back with his sister Tonya and had the time of his life. Jonathan was an avid gamer and known for his jokes and sarcasm. His larger-than-life personality will be missed by his online phazz clan community (Maystack, Princess and Nertz). He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. At Jonathan’s request, there will be no calling hours. Private services will take place at the convenience of the family. Friends wishing to remember Jonathan may make memorial contributions to the St. Joseph’s Veterans Treatment Program in care of the funeral home.
