Edythe LeFebvre

Edythe V. LeFebvre, born April 13, 1939, to Gardner and Ada Vaughn of Old Forge, passed away peacefully on Nov. 9, 2021 at the age of 82. Edie graduated from the town of Webb High School in 1957 and the CCBI Business School in Syracuse.

Edie started her career at General Electric where she hired, and eventually married her husband Thomas. Edie left the workforce for her real full-time job of raising their four children in Liverpool, New York. After raising her family, she returned to the workforce in 1984 with the Liverpool School District and retired in 1997.

Edie enjoyed bowling, golf, gardening and skiing. One of Edie’s greatest thrills was working at Whiteface Mountain during the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, where she was able to collect numerous pins and autographs from many world-famous skiers.

Edie was predeceased by her parents and her older brother, Gary Vaughn. She is survived by her younger sister, Sally Vaughn; her loving husband of 59 years, Thomas; their four children, Michael, Cathy (James) LeBeau, Mark and Steven; and six grandchildren, Theresa, Rebecca, Steven, Andrew, Kaylee and Matthew.

Private services were held at Legacy at Erie Station, Tom and Edie’s Rochester home. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in Edie’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
