Janet M. Hinkley

Janet was born on Sept. 29, 1946 in Elizabethtown, the daughter of Thomas and Florence (James) Wasson.

Janet spent time working for North Country Home Services of Saranac Lake. In her free time, she would enjoy the company of friends and family.

Janet is survived by her three daughters: Lisa (Neil) Beaney of Westville; Michelle (Roy) Lamica of Brushton; and Dawn Sirman of Plattsburgh. Her brother James Wasson of Lake Placid, and her two sisters: Sue Rock of Waterford; and Mary Anne Williamson of Chazy; as well as nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Janet is predeceased by her husband William C. Hinkley, daughter Laura Jean Wenner, mother and father Thomas and Florence (James) Wasson, brother Thomas Wasson Jr., and sisters Cathy and Christine Wasson.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home. At Janet’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. A graveside service is tentatively scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6, 2021 in Mountain View Cemetery in Gabriels in the family lot.
