Theresa Ann (Lamoy) Trudell

Theresa Ann (Lamoy) Trudell, age 61, passed away on Jan. 16, 2021, at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

Theresa was born on Oct. 22, 1959, to Carlton and Theola (Ross) Lamoy in Saranac Lake. She graduated with the Class of 1977 from Saranac Lake Central School and received her accounting certificate from North Country Community College in 1979. She married Robert Trudell on June 21, 1980, in Saranac Lake.

Theresa is survived by Robert, her loving husband of 40 years; her sister Ann Lamoy of Marietta, Georgia; an aunt, Eva (Burke) Lamoy of Long Lake; and many cousins. Theresa is also survived by her mother-in-law Winifred Trudell; two sisters-in-law: Joyce and Donna Trudell; and one brother-in-law, Donald Trudell.

At a young age, Theresa joined the 4-H club, having a passion for horses. She continued her love of civic duty into the American Legion Auxiliary, serving in many capacities including Honor Guard and both local and district boards. She is past American Legion Auxiliary District 4 president. She was also active in the Women of the Moose, the Fish and Game Club and the Sara-Placid Women’s Bowling Association, serving on the various boards and giving generously of both her time and money for all their functions. Theresa was also a member of the NRA.

Theresa loved going to camp and hunting with her husband and best friend. She also found time for bowling, knitting and crocheting. She gave of her time in so many ways. Theresa’s legacy will be her love of God, country and community. All that Theresa did, she did to the fullest, right to the end. She will be loved and missed by many.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Saranac Lake, NY 12983. There will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be in the spring in Harrietstown Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, the Women of the Moose Saranac Lake Chapter 1909, the American Legion Auxiliary Saranac Lake Unit 447, or the Saranac Lake Fish and Game Club in care of the Fortune Keough Funeral Home.
