Charles H. Dupraw
Charles H. Dupraw of Atlantic Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2019, at a veteran nursing home in St. Augustine, Florida.
Charles was born Dec. 15, 1931 to Elizabeth and Charles Dupraw in Lake Placid.
He graduated from Lake Placid High School and enlisted into the Navy. He served during the Berlin Airlift, Korean War and Vietnam during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He served aboard the U.S. Franklin Roosevelt during Vietnam. He retired after 30 years of service.
While he was in Bermuda, he met the love of life, Pearl. They both raised three sons.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Ted, Fay and Vincent; one sister, Marion Marvin; his wife Pearl; and a good friend, Silvia Warner.
He is survived by his sister Dorothy LeClair of Morrisville; a sister-in-law, Mary Cayea of Lake Placid; three sons: Glen, Charles and Arthur of Atlantic Beach, Florida; four great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
