Gary S. Friel
Gary S. Friel, 69, of Redford and a long-time resident of Lake Placid, died Friday, July 20, 2018, at Elizabethtown Community Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Friel was born April 30, 1949 in Manuet. He is the son of the late Bernard and the late Lillian (Ewald) Friel. He was the husband of Anita R. (Robertson) Friel. Mrs. Friel Passed away May 4, 2018.
Gary had worked as a contractor in Lake Placid and the surrounding areas. His business, Gary Friel Contracting was associated with several quality renovations, buildings and additions in the North Country. Gary built his new home in Redford and had recently moved to enjoy living closer to his family.
Gary is survived by one son, Adam G. Friel and his wife Jennifer and their children Olivia and Lydia of Redford; one daughter, Nicole Harrington and her husband Paul and their son Anthony of Queensbury; one brother, Martin Friel; and two sisters: Darleen (Carl) Nussio and Christine Friel.
There are no calling hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. The M. B. Clark Inc. funeral home in Lake Placid is in charge of arrangements.
