Freda Kelley
Freda Kelley, 83, of Piercefield, went to sleep to await the arrival of her savior, when she will reunite with her loved ones.
Freda was born on Nov. 3, 1932, to Fred and Gladys Sutton, the first of 10 children.
Freda was a homemaker. She was active in the Piercefield Ladies’ Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society of Tupper Lake.
She was active in the Seventh-day Adventist church in Saranac Lake and enjoyed helping anyone and everyone.
Freda was predeceased by a brother, Fred Sutton Jr., at a young age. She was also predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Sutton-Sylvester of Morrisvile, Vermont.
Surviving siblings are Patty Sutton Miller of Morrisville Vermont, George and Nancy Sutton of Brandon, Vermont, Gerald and Arlene Sutton of Morrisville, Vermont, Eileen Sutton McCalvin of Bloomingdale, Maxine Sutton Chardeen of Bloomingdale, Charles Sutton of Lyon Mountain, and Geraldine and Tom Treppa of Ocala, Florida.
Children are Gladys Jana of Jasper, Florida, Joseph and Amy Gadway of Piercefield, Fred and Evelyn Gadway of Tupper Lake, and Betty and Joe Keniston of Tupper Lake. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at noon Tuesday, Oct. 25 at the Seventh-day Adventist church on St. Bernard Street in Saranac Lake, with graveside service following at Lakeside Cemetery on Hosley Avenue in Tupper Lake.
Arrangements are with the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home in Tupper Lake.
