Alan LaFlamme

Alan LaFlamme, 53, passed away, Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, at his home.

Born Aug. 1, 1962, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, he was the son of George and Alice LaFlamme. He moved to Tupper Lake in 1964 and attended local schools.

He was employed at several businesses including J.J. Newbury’s, Big Tupper Ski Area, Hamilton Lumber, Aubuchon Hardware and has spent the last 17 years employed at Mercy Living Center in Tupper Lake.

Alan enjoyed the outdoors: fishing, hunting, camping, snowmobiling and four-wheeling. He also enjoyed trips to the casino, garage saleing and watching softball games.

Alan enjoyed life to the fullest and absolutely adored his grandchildren; they were the apple of his eye.

He loved doing his scrap metal with his son-in-law Skyler, “Sanford and Son in-law.”

He is survived by his parents; three children: daughter Janessa and her husband Skyler Proulx, and two sons, Jeremy LaFlamme and Amy Kennedy, and Justin LaFlamme; four grandchildren: Alan J. LaFlamme, Ava Fortier, Evan LaFlamme and Skylinn Proulx; one brother, George and his wife Anna; three sisters: Penny Lanthier, Sue Allen and husband Ron Allen, and Debbie Mitchell and her husband Charlie; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15 at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16 at St. Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake.
