William R. Herrington

He was born in Albany and has lived in North Greenbush for 55 years.

Bill was an Army Air Corp veteran of both World War II and the Korean War. He was in the military for 39 years retiring as a chief master sergeant from the Air Force Reserve.

Bill was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for many years. He loved the time he spent at his camp in the Adirondacks doing what he enjoyed most boating and fishing.

He was the husband of the late Patricia M. Griffin Herrington; father of Leslie (Doug) Richter of Shelburne, Vermont; grandfather of Scott Richter of Shelburne, Vermont; and brother of the late Maryon Sleicher and Alyce Senrick. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no evening calling hours.
