Judith ‘Judy’ C. (Allen) Murphy

Judy was born Sept. 3, 1933, and grew up in Lake Placid, the daughter of Lotta and Herb Allen. She graduated from Lake Placid High School, Class of 1952.

She is survived by her son Robert of Eureka, daughter Lee Alexander (Tom) of Covington, Washington and her brother Bob (Marie) of Haines City, Florida; her grandchildren: Michael Murphy, Brianna Murphy, Alana Murphy, Katie Alexander and Matthew Alexander (Jessica); her great-grandson Thomas Michael Alexander II; and her first cousins: John Christoper Beattie of Lake Placid and Robin Warrington Smith of Catskill, New York.

She was predeceased by her husband Wayne Murphy in 1985.

Judy had been a radio technician in the Air Force, where she met her husband. During their Air Force careers, they were stationed in Colorado, Texas, England, California and Germany.

Judy also enjoyed traveling with various women’s groups and friends.

She loved to laugh and spend time with her friends and searching out antiques with them at the Thursday auctions in Eureka, as well as quilting and knitting.

Judy will be deeply missed by family and friends.
