Mary attended St. Bernard’s and Pius Catholic Schools in Saranac Lake and graduated with the class of 1968. Mary was a devoted mother, sister, and grandmother. She retired from Adirondack Correctional Facility in 2009 with 30 years of New York State employment.

Mary also joined the United States Army Reserve in 1982 and was honorably discharged in 2002.

Mary is survived by her two sons: James “Jed” Dukett, his wife Juli and their children Elli and Luka of Tupper Lake and Derek Staves, his wife Xenia and their children Noah, Jacob, and Olivia of Saint Cloud, Florida; four brothers: Edward, Robert, Patrick and Raymond “Gus”; her close cousin Cheryl Bush; and many loving relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents and one brother George “Hooker” Dukett.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at noon Friday, March 13 at St. Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Lake Clear in July.
