Sally Hogan

RAINBOW LAKE -Sally Hogan, 74, of county Route 60, Rainbow Lake, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014 at her home under the loving care of her family and High Peaks Hospice.

She was born in Saranac Lake June 9, 1939, the daughter of Peter and Adelaide VanCour.

Sally was a graduate of Saranac Lake High School. She married Francis Hogan on June 29, 1957 and together they operated the family dairy farm and managed the Rainbow Lake Post Office for 47 years.

Sally enjoyed her home and her family. She has created countless loving memories for her husband, children and grandchildren to continue to embrace, cherish and carry with them.

Survivors include her husband Francis of Rainbow Lake; three children: Cindie Perrino and husband Glenn of Rainbow Lake, Francis Hogan Jr. and wife Denise of Watertown and Robin Law and husband Jimmy of Rainbow Lake; grandson John Marshall and April and their sons Gabriel and Cyle of Champlain; two granddaughters: Shanon and Kelsey Hogan of Watertown; brother-in-law Floyd Hogan and his wife Arlene of Florida; and three nieces and two nephews.

Sally was predeceased by her parents; daughter, JoAnn Hogan Marshall; great grandson Kaden Marshall; and brother, Norman VanCour.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public calling hours. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10 at the Church Of The Assumption in Gabriels with the Rev. Mark R. Reilly, parish pastor, celebrating. Burial will be private at the Mountain View Cemetery in the town of Brighton.
