LAKE PLACID – At the age of 85, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has developed a breathtaking legal legacy while becoming an unexpected pop culture icon. But without a definitive Ginsburg biography, the unique personal journey of this diminutive, quiet warrior’s rise to the nation’s highest court has been largely unknown, even to some of her biggest fans-until now. “RBG” is a revelatory documentary exploring Ginsburg’s exceptional life and career from co-directors/co-producers Betsy West and Julie Cohen, co-produced by Storyville Films and CNN Films.

The film, which had its world premiere as an official selection of the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, will be screened at 7 p.m. Friday, June 15 at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts.

This special presentation is co-sponsored by the Adirondack Film Society, LPCA and the Zonta Club of the Adirondacks.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance by visiting lakeplacidarts.org or calling the LPCA box office at 518-523-2512. They will also be available at the door.

Next up for the Adirondack Film Society will be special screenings in July and August at the Strand movie theater in Schroon Lake with dates and films to be announced soon. The Lake Placid Film Forum, which for the first time in its 18-year history will be held in the fall, will be held Friday through Sunday, Oct. 26-28.
