Giuliani endorses Constantino in NY-21

ALBANY — Sticker Mule CEO Anthony Constantino has advertised himself as the MAGA-friendly candidate in the race to succeed U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik, and now former Trump lawyer and New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani has endorsed him in the NY-21 GOP primary.

“America needs 100 Constantinos,” Giuliani said in a video. “He will fight for the American people and is totally self-funding his campaign, so he can ignore any and all special interests.”

The endorsement came following an appearance by Constantino on Giuliani’s nightly talk show, which streams on social media.

“I love Rudy Giuliani so his endorsement is an incredible honor,” Constantino said Monday.

Constantino’s opponent, Assembly Member Robert Smullen, has received the backing of the New York Republican Party and 12 county GOP committees across the 21st District. Constantino is now touting a celebrity endorsement from outside the district.

Smullen was endorsed by the Clinton County Republican Committee on Thursday. Constantino has zero such backings.

“I respect Rudy Giuliani and his service to this country, but on this one he is just flat wrong,” Smullen said in a statement on Monday. “I’m proud to have the endorsements of the New York State Republican Party, the Conservative Party, 12 of 15 county Republican committees, every Assembly Republican, and law enforcement leaders across this district — along with nearly 9,000 petition signatures from Republican voters who support my campaign and want to see me on the ballot.

“There is only one proven conservative in this race, and that’s the coalition we’re building across NY-21.”

Constantino said Monday that he believes Giuliani has been a victim of political “persecution” for his support of Trump, with claiming the endorsement carries more weight than any of Smullen’s.

“The NY GOP is a losing institution and all they do is lose,” Constantino said.

Giuliani was found liable for $148 million in damages in 2023 in a defamation lawsuit brought by a pair of Georgia election workers after Giuliani made false claims that they had tampered with votes in the 2020 presidential election between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden.

Giuliani was found in contempt of court in the case in 2025 for failing to pay the damages and subsequently reached a settlement that allowed him to keep his Florida home.

Trump pardoned Giuliani and a host of former administration officials in November for alleged federal crimes tied to any attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

Constantino said that he hopes to have Giuliani campaign for him in the district in advance of the June 23 primary.

Constantino compared himself to Giuliani on Monday, noting that in 2024, after he erected a massive sign reading “Vote for Trump” on the roof of his Amsterdam business, the company lost millions of dollars in revenue.

“I suffered a massive backlash and I’m continuing to endure boycotts and I’ve got nasty politicians smearing me,” Constantino said. “I respect [Giuliani] for what he went through.”
