Best of the Mountains nomination deadline Sunday at midnight
Voting begins midnight on Monday
SARANAC LAKE – The deadline to nominate businesses, organizations, people and places for the Readers’ Choice for Best of the Mountains 2026 is coming right up at the stroke of midnight on Sunday evening.
Then, a month of voting for the best of the best kicks off immediately in the wee hours of Monday.
To nominate people, places or businesses, go to tinyurl.com/h5x46zmy or follow the link on the Enterprise home page at adirondackdailyenterprise.com.
If you don’t see your favorite person, place or business in a category they’re eligible for, add them with a nomination form at the bottom of the category!
Each year, the Adirondack Daily Enterprise and Lake Placid News asks readers to vote for their favorite businesses as part of the Best of the Mountains Readers’ Choice contest.
This annual contest is where you, our readers, have the last word.
This is your chance to nominate any business, organization, person or attraction you believe is the best in the listed categories in our readership areas. Business owners can even nominate themselves.
This year, there are almost 150 categories to vote in.
Each category gets a winner and two finalists.
Winners get bragging rights, a certificate to display and their photo in the Enterprise.
The winners of the contest will be featured in a special section of the Enterprise toward the end of June.
The nomination phase started on March 10. It ends this Sunday, March 29, at 12 a.m.
This is the fourth year with all the nominating and voting done online. This proved very successful with tens of thousands of votes last year.
The contest has two phases: nominations and voting.
Voting begins at 12 a.m. on March 30 and closes May 5.
Voting is being done slightly differently this year. Voters can only vote for one entity per category. They cannot vote for the same entity more than once.
New this year, nominators and voters have the chance to win $500 in both phases of the contest. To be eligible, they must nominate 15 people, places or businesses. In the voting phase, they must vote for 15 people, places or businesses.
