Adirondack Garden Club hosts gardening expert Charlie Nardozzi

KEENE — The Adirondack Garden Club will host gardening expert Charlie Nardozzi for a talk at the Whallonsburg Grange Hall on March 28, from 10:30 a.m. until noon. Copies of Nardozzi’s newest book, “The Continuous Vegetable Garden: Create a Perpetual Food Garden that Sows and Grows Itself,” published last month, will be available for sale.

Nardozzi is a regional Emmy award winning and nationally recognized garden writer, speaker, radio and television personality. He has worked for more than 30 years bringing expert gardening information to home gardeners through radio, television, talks and tours, online and on the printed page. Nardozzi delights in making gardening information simple, easy, fun and accessible to everyone.

Locally, he is best known for his award winning radio show “All Things Gardening” on Vermont Public Radio and “In the Garden” television show on WCAX-Channel 3. More information on Charlie is available at gardeningwithcharlie.com.

The Whallonsburg Grange is located at 1610 state Route 22, Whallonsburg. A $10 donation is requested.

The Adirondack Garden Club was founded in 1928. The club’s mission is to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening, to aid in the protection of native plants and birds, and to encourage civic planting and the conservation of our natural resources. Its purpose is the conservation of the plants, shrubs and trees native to the Adirondack region, and the making of both wild and cultivated gardens characteristic of the environment in which they are placed, the furthering of the cultivation of gardens throughout the Adirondack area, and the promotion of civic conservation and beautification.
