A village worker topples the tower as the 2026 Saranac Lake Winter Carnival Ice Palace is demolished Monday afternoon. Rising to a height of 32 feet, the tower was the tallest part of this year’s palace, which was constructed of approximately 3,000 blocks of ice that were 20 inches thick and weighing up to 800 pounds each.
