SARANAC LAKE — The Adirondack Artists Guild will feature a members’ group show in honor of Winter Carnival this February.
Saranac Lake residents know that Winter Carnival is more than the Ice Palace or an annual parade, or even just a reason to get outside during what is often the coldest week of the year. It is a long-standing tradition integral to the town’s identity, one that knits the community together and celebrates the creativity, camaraderie and fortitude of those who call Saranac Lake their home.
The 15 members of the Adirondack Artists Guild will contribute one or two pieces each to “Carnival: A Community Canvas,” sharing artworks that celebrate the legacy of Winter Carnival.
The gallery will host an opening reception on Friday, Feb. 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. Refreshments will be provided. All are welcome. The show will be up until March 10.
