LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid Sinfonietta invites the community to gather for an afternoon of music and celebration by musician Jillian Honn and others at its Winter Soiree Concert and Fundraiser on Jan. 11 at the Whiteface Lodge in Lake Placid.

This special event offers audiences an intimate recital experience, featuring Sinfonietta musicians alongside a festive reception. Set against Whiteface Lodge, the concert brings together music lovers, supporters and community members during the quieter season while celebrating the organization’s mission and impact.

The event begins at 1 p.m. with a social cocktail hour and curated silent auction followed by a 2 p.m. recital featuring Lake Placid Sinfonietta oboist Jillian Honn and Sinfonietta board member and pianist Linda Patterson.

The recital program will feature works by Gilles Silvestrini, Samuel Barber, G.P. Telemann, Jenni Brandon and Francis Poulenc.

Proceeds from the Winter Soire will directly support the Lake Placid Sinfonietta’s programming, helping to sustain its mission of providing world-class orchestral and chamber music performances to communities throughout the Adirondack region.
