Crane Candlelight Concert to be broadcast on NCPR and PBS

POTSDAM — For more than 100 years, the Crane Candlelight Concert has ushered in the holiday season at SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music. Once again, audiences can relive the magic with upcoming broadcasts on regional public television and radio.

North Country Public Radio will air most of the 2025 Crane Candlelight Concert, with two broadcasts planned as part of its holiday programming:

¯ Sunday, Dec. 21: 8 p.m.

¯ Thursday, Dec. 25: 4 p.m.

Last year’s concert and other past performances are also set to air on Mountain Lake PBS at the following times this holiday season:

¯ Sunday, Dec. 21: 5 p.m. (2024, “Holiday Memories”)

¯ Monday, Dec. 22: 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. (2024, “Holiday Memories”)

¯ Tuesday, Dec. 23: 3:30 a.m. (2024, “Holiday Memories”)

¯ Wednesday, Dec. 24: 8 p.m. (2024, “Holiday Memories”) and 10:30 p.m. (2022, “Let it Shine!”)

¯ Thursday, Dec. 25: 1 a.m. (2022, “Let it Shine!”), 4 a.m. (2024, “Holiday Memories”), 1:30 p.m. (2024, “Holiday Memories”)

Mountain Lake PBS has syndicated the 2024 performance for other stations across the U.S. and Canada to air as well this year. Past tapings of Crane Candlelight concerts can be viewed online on the Mountain Lake PBS website.

The livestream recording of this year’s concert is also available online anytime, at the Crane YouTube channel.
