Bevilacqua, Webb have lead in Santa Clara council race

SANTA CLARA — Republicans Alexandria Bevilacqua and Marcel “Mickey” Webb appear to have won election to the Santa Clara town council, according to unofficial vote totals on Election Night.

Tyler Ellithorpe on the independent “Tippy Canoe” line appears to have not won election to the board.

A total of 169 people voted in the election.

Bevilacqua had 96 votes, 40.68% of the total. Webb had 75 votes, 31.78% of the total. Ellithorpe had 61 votes, 25.85% of the total.

The Enterprise has not yet been able to get a count of the number of absentee ballots cast in this race. There is a 14-vote gap between Ellithorpe and Webb based on Election Night vote totals, which include mail-in ballots received before election day.

Absentee ballots will be counted on Nov. 12, the final day for them to arrive at the board of elections, according to Franklin County Republican Election Commissioner Tracy Sparks.

Starting at $3.92/week.
