SARANAC LAKE — On Thursday, May 8, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., local artist Andy Mitchell will celebrate the opening reception of his latest exhibit, “Auf Wiedersehen: Gallery of Goodbye,” at Coldwell Banker Whitbeck, located at 5 Broadway.

The exhibit, running from April 27 through June 15, showcases Mitchell’s newest body of work, capturing themes of transition, letting go and the art of moving forward. Known for his vibrant use of color and layered storytelling, Mitchell’s work invites viewers to reflect on their own experiences of change and connection.

The opening reception is free and open to the public, where guests can enjoy live music by Austin Petrashune, craft beer provided by RiverTrail Beerworks and lite fare. The event is an opportunity to meet the artist, experience the artwork firsthand and mingle with others.

Mitchell is a self-taught artist from Elizabethtown. His work has been featured in solo exhibitions throughout the Adirondacks and beyond, blending abstract expression with reflections on place and identity.
