SARANAC LAKE — It’s time to run, walk, roll or stroll at the 2025 Black Fly 5K at the Dewey Mountain Recreation Center on Saturday, June 7.

The event is a 5K race — or walk — that starts at 1 p.m., and will have a little celebration afterward. The Black Fly 5K supports the tuition assistance program at St. Bernard’s School.

This year, the event offers a 1K Student Fun Run — one scenic loop on the trails, for younger participants who want to join the excitement without the full 5K distance.

After the race, there will be an after-party with food from Mountain Munchies, drinks from ADK Mobile Bars, lawn games, a Lego and craft table for the kids and lively music.

Participants who register will receive a custom-designed t-shirt by Stacked Graphics — while supplies last — a tin of Bye Bye Blackfly all-natural insect repellent and an ice cream cone certificate from Teddy’s Ice Cream in Bloomingdale.
