SARANAC LAKE — Students from Paul Smith’s College, guided by professor Deb Naybor, recently collaborated on building and delivering a pet pantry to the front porch of Tri-Lakes Humane Society in Saranac Lake.

The newly-installed bin provides a convenient, anonymous way for community members to both donate and receive essential pet supplies. This innovative addition allows the public to drop off or pick up vital items such as leashes, pet food, treats, toys, pee pads and more.

Canned items should be dropped off inside the shelter rather than left in the outside bin. Additional supplies and resources are also available inside the shelter upon request.

“I’m incredibly grateful to the students at Paul Smith’s College for their help in bringing this project to life,” Tri-Lakes Humane Society director Victoria Tanner said. “This bin provides essential supplies to pet owners and shelter animals in need.”

The pet pantry offers a no-contact, confidential way for the public to contribute to the well-being of both shelter animals and local pets who may need a helping hand.

Located in Saranac Lake, Tri-Lakes Humane Society is dedicated to promoting the welfare of animals within the community. The shelter offers various services, including animal adoption, pet care and support for local animal welfare initiatives.
