Ausable Freshwater Center’s September Shindig is Tuesday
WILMINGTON — The Ausable Freshwater Center will present its September Shindig from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17 at the Mirror Lake Inn in Lake Placid.
Staff and board members will be celebrating 25 years of service to the AuSable River watershed and look to future of advancing science and stewardship of Adirondack waters.
The guest speaker will be Suzanna Randall, chief resiliency officer at the state Department of Environmental Conservation. She will speak, in part, to the challenges facing Adirondack freshwater systems, the enormous promise of the New York State Clean Water, Clean Air and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act for freshwater systems and the importance of community investment to garner those funds and get good work done.
Appetizers, dinner, dessert, and one drink will be included in the ticket price. Cash bar will be available all evening.
A single ticket is $125 (includes h’ors d’oeuvres, one drink, dinner and dessert), an anniversary ticket is $250 (includes h’ors d’oeuvres, one drink, dinner and dessert.) and a celebration table is $1,500 (includes eight tickets and h’ors d’oeuvres, one drink, dinner and dessert per ticket). A cash bar will be available all evening.
