Saranac Lake Art Party returns on May 17

SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Art Party will return for its fourth installment, promising another inclusive mixer designed to forge connections between creatives and friends from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, May 17 at The Garagery (entrance at parking lot behind Grizle T’s).

Following the success of previous mixers, this event promises an immersive experience where emerging and seasoned artists, along with friends of artists, can converge to hang out, collaborate and experiment with community art making and interactive video art. Admission is free. Snacks will be provided, and there will be a cash bar.

“It was a long, unseasonable winter. This party will be a chance for all of us to get reactivated and reconnected with people in the local art community,” said Echo, founder of The Station in Onchiota and member of the Saranac Lake Arts and Culture advisory board, which is putting on the event.

Artists and friends are encouraged to bring some random, interesting objects and have fun creating a collaborative collage, building on the art created at the last Saranac Lake Art Party.

The Saranac Lake Arts and Culture Advisory Board is dedicated to promoting and fostering the arts in the Saranac Lake community. Through various initiatives and events, the advisory board aims to enrich the cultural landscape, support local artists and engage the community in creative expression.
