Wild Center nominated for Best Science Museum award

TUPPER LAKE — For the second year in a row, The Wild Center has been nominated for a “Best Science Museum” award in USA TODAY’s 2024 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

Friends and fans of the museum are encouraged to support The Wild Center by voting online, now until Feb. 12.

Selected by a panel of travel experts, the list of 20 nominees highlights museums nationwide where the wonders of science and natural history spring to life. Voting for the awards is open to the public, and votes are tallied daily. Readers are allowed one online vote per day.

The Wild Center was also nominated in 2023, where it finished second in a list of the top 10 museums, including The Museum of Flight in Seattle and the Michigan Science Center in Detroit.

“We were thrilled to be nominated for this award last year — but to be recognized two years in a row really shows The Wild Center’s commitment to innovation and discovery,” said Wild Center Marketing Director Nick Gunn. “While being the second-best science museum in the country is awesome, we want to take home first place this year. So, we encourage everyone to vote early and vote often!”

To vote for the Wild Center, fans can visit wildcenter.org/vote and cast their ballot once per day until polls close at 12 p.m. on Feb. 12. Winners will be announced on Friday, Feb. 23.
