Cassitty Rose and Dianne Tkach from the Saranac Lake Volunteer Rescue Squad shows members of the Winter Carnival Committee on Tuesday how to use automated external defibrillator machines, which will be kept near the Ice Palace this year. Carnival Chair Rob Russell encouraged Ice Palace volunteers to know how to use the AEDs and be prepared to spring into action if there is a medical emergency.
