TUPPER LAKE — Two candidates are running uncontested for two seats on the Tupper Lake Village Board.

They are both incumbents and both running on the Republican line: David Haji Maroun and Leon LeBlanc.

The Adirondack Daily Enterprise sent questionnaires to the candidates. Below are their responses.

Occupation: New York state Department of Corrections for the past 18 years

Position sought: Tupper Lake Village Board

Q: Why are you running for this position?

A: I’m running for this spot because I love this community. I would like to bring more to this community so people come and live here.

Q: What are your qualifications?

A: Candidate did not respond.

Q: What are your main goals?

A: My main goals are to lower the taxes and make this community safe.

Q: What do you think are the three biggest problems in the town, and how do you propose solving them?

A: Three biggest problems are police! Water supply. Also housing.
