Kurtz is Adirondack Artists Guild featured artist for October

SARANAC LAKE — Mark Kurtz will be showing new and early work as the featured artist at the Adirondack Artists Guild for the month of October.

The show opens on Friday, Oct. 6, with a reception from 5-8 p.m., and closes on Oct. 29.

Kurtz’s career as a photographer in the Adirondacks has spanned several decades. He is well known for his landscapes and large panoramic photographs, as well as for his square works made with a small plastic Holga camera. He also has a collection of images from New York City and around upstate New York and from other travels.

The Adirondack Artists Guild is a cooperative retail art gallery representing a diverse group of artists residing and working in the Tri-Lakes region of the Adirondack Park. The gallery is located at 52 Main St., Saranac Lake, 518 891-2615. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays.
