UPPER SARANAC LAKE — Island Chapel will begin its summer worship season on Sunday, June 25 at 10 a.m. and continue on Sundays throughout the summer, with the last day of service on Sept. 3.

Island Chapel is located at the south end of Upper Saranac Lake. Boat transportation is offered every Sunday morning on the Chapel Bound pontoon boat, which leaves from the end of Old Dock Road off state Route 3. The first boat leaves for the picturesque ride at 9:15 a.m. and again at 9:35. You may arrive in your own boat as well. The boat driver drops off passengers at the chapel dock and then anchors off shore. A shuttle transports passengers back to the dock after the 10 a.m. service.

Island Chapel is a Christian interdenominational church where everyone is welcome to join in the blends of faith to worship together. Volunteers on the chapel committee serve to operate the chapel each week.

Worship at the chapel has been a unique summer experience since the mid-1800s. The island blends into the Adirondack landscape among tall pines, mountain peaks and glistening water.

The following inspirational speakers will conduct the worship services:
