Students in Carol Schmidt’s fifth-grade class at Bloomingdale Elementary School participate in an Authors’ Tea event Friday. Each student contributed two stories to create their own class book, which was eventually published. Families were invited into the classroom to celebrate this accomplishment with the students. Each student read one story to the audience, then received a copy of the book and an award for the completed work.
