SARANAC LAKE — The Adirondack Artists Guild continues to celebrate its 25th anniversary by hosting its annual juried competition, which is open to all living artists over the age of 18. All media are accepted.

Registration opens on Jan. 1, with the submission deadline on Feb. 26. Entries will be accepted through OnlineJuriedShows.com. The actual exhibit will be both on the guild’s website and in the gallery. Complete information and submission details will appear on the OnlineJuriedShows.com website beginning on Jan. 1.

The exhibit will open with a reception and announcement of awards on March 24 and will close on April 19.

The juror for this year’s juried exhibition will be Valerie Patterson, a former member of the Adirondack Artists Guild who recently returned to Ogdensburg, her home town. She creates highly refined watercolor paintings that explode with psychological resonance. Born in 1963, she grew up in Ogdensburg and earned degrees in both art and education, followed by careers spanning nearly 40 years of creating and teaching art. Her award-winning watercolor paintings have been exhibited extensively throughout the United States in both group and solo exhibitions.

The Adirondack Artists Guild is a cooperative retail art gallery representing a diverse group of artists residing and working in the Tri-Lakes region. The gallery is located at 52 Main St., Saranac Lake. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call 518 891-2615 or visit online at www.adirondackartistsguild.com.
